For this project, my most important issue is using art to connect with individuals, so they can understand their neighbors who live very different lives, and to have that connection resonate in their lives long after Philadelphia Assembled is finished. For Reconstructions, I see that as 1) understanding and living with the awareness of what mass incarceration does to our neighbors of color, and 2) how everyone at every income level and family situation wants to be at home.
