'Narratives of Desire. Realities Odense' in Arnhem

museum voor moderme kunst Arnhem, Jun 2006

In their work, many artists increasingly explore and engage with the complexity of local and global developments. From June 2 until 17 September 2006, the Museum of Modern Art Arnhem in the Netherlands will bring together a number of artists who address this theme in an exhibition entitled World Unlimited. Multimedia installations will be shown by Ursula Biemann, Lonnie van Brummelen & Siebren de Haan, Joost Conijn, Saskia Janssen, Wineke Gartz, Oliver Ressler & Dario Azzellini and Julika Rudelius.

Together with artist Marten Winters, Jeanne presents the four-piece work Narratives of Desire. Realities Odense (2006), a series of enactments in collaboration with residents of the Danish city Odense. Narratives of Desire investigates the radical consequences brought about by changes in their lives, and the moral choices they made. The work was produced in cooperation with Pia Sigmund, Ali Al-Harbi, Huda Al-Kazwine and Benny Busborg.
